Since 1982, Pandora Jewellery has grown from a single jewellery shop in Copenhagen, Denmark, to a multi-national franchise loved and trusted by thousands of people.  Nearly 30 years has seen a lot of change in the company, but the purpose remains the same; creating beautifully designed jewellery to be enjoyed by women the world over.

Danish goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie had a vision.  This vision was to create unique and beautiful women’s jewellery at affordable prices; jewellery which would encourage women to express their individuality.  With the Pandora brand, they have succeeded.

It was the Pandora charm bracelet that made Pandora as an international name.  In 2000, the Pandora charm bracelet was first released in Denmark.  The enthusiastic response that met it soon saw the bracelets entering the international market; America in 2003 and Germany and Australia in 2004.

Pandora charms are now sold globally, in 55 countries world-wide.  The elegant bracelets were so popular that Pandora opened a fully-owned manufacturing facility in Thailand, where Pandora Jewellery has been manufactured since 1989.  Since then, three more facilities have opened, continuing the distinctly hand-finished production of Pandora Jewellery.

Currently, the genuine Pandora name is given to over 1,600 unique jewellery designs, which are sold globally in 420 Pandora stores and over 10,000 third party shops. Pandora employs over 5,000 people worldwide.
